V (2020) movie review and rating.
|V (2020) now on Amazon Prime.|
The biggest positive of this film is Nani, there is no doubt in that, with his killer voice and the mass look he made the screen lit, in this film V (2020) we can feel the hue of Rajini in Nani’s dialogue delivery in many scenes of this film, a perfect mass with a killer performance that’s my thought.
I thought Sudheer Babu Posani was the villain of this story at first, but it is not worked out, he is the second hero of this film, he also has the same importance and played a balanced role like Nani. Nivetha Thomas came in between the story as a novel writer and the heated the floor with her cuteness.
The best part of this first half, compared to the second half the screenplay is more good and engaging in the first half, they just hold the audience by their unpredictable screenplay in the starting like what’s going to happen next.
There is also few funny bits in serious situations, we know jokes in serious situations will irritate the audience rather making fun but this is well handled by Vennela Kishore, he did a decent job and flavoured the story with few double meaning jokes.
Music and background scores by Thaman lit the screen, wah there is a separate bgm for two heroes, my favourite is Nani’s one. though it seems like an old one, Music directors did a good tinkering work in these scores.
Another best of this film is the cinematography, there are many good fight scene shots, mainly that Sudheer intro fight scenes, I thought it is would like a Baaghi film, but the truth is that is the only good fight scene for him in the whole movie.
The first half is a little bit confusing like who is the hero and who is the villain, but after the interval, the story goes like a usual and predictable one.
What’s not there in this film?.
Though the story started as a new one, it goes down as a usual old type story, the truth is, it is an old type of revenge story we have watched these types of film in countless times in many languages like a military officer who came to take revenge for the death of his wife.
There is also a few old type military rescue shots like rescuing the people from the terrorists, from these scenes itself we can predict the story after that, I don’t know why they still taking these usual rescue shots, maybe they think it is the luck of these usual old type stories, they just wasted my whole expectation after these scenes.
The curse of this film is Aditi Hydari Rao part, though she did a decent job, I just skipped her full portion because of the story goes boring and usual like an old one, you will also feel this while watching the whole film.
Though the story is a routine one, the screenplay goes like a predictable one after the first half, they just wasted our whole expectation by their boring storytelling.
It fits Nani.
Because of his killer performance.
A psycho (Nani) challenge the police (Sudheer) by giving a clue to each murder he is about to commit next.
Sudheer also accepts the challenge and also said that he will return all the medals he won if he loses the challenge.
The story just started to heat up here, Sudheer also began to investigate that case after that in full speed and then the story is whether the Sudheer caught Nani or not and what is the reason for this murders.
Spoiler: the reason for this murders is, heroine (Aditi Hydari Rao) was killed by Villain gangs for protecting the girl who has the evidence of rape committed by villain gangs.
V (2020) is a one-time watchable decent track though not as much as I expected.
V (2020) movie rating:
3/5 – Could still have been nicer (by Movie Laundry).
